ECE- Diploma & Bachelor of Education

Educare Training in collaboration with Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, will help you to continue your journey in Early Childhood Training.

What do Educare Training offer?

Study groups for levels 5, 6, and 7 in Early Childhood Education

How does Educare Training do this?

Educare Trainng puts a plan together at the beginning of each semester and agree on a time for the weekly (2 hours) or fortnightly (3-4 hours) workshops – usually held on Mondays.

What do we cover?

We help unpack the questions and the readings, and support you in any way we can while you study extramurally.

What are the benefits of doing this?

Group support is an important part of further study. Educare Training understands that extramural study can be very confusing. By having a support group you will make sense through conversations of your group, make friends and most importantly keep on track. If you have studied with Educare Training (levels 3 & 4), you will already have worked with the tutor who will be supporting you with further study.

How long has Educare Training been doing this?

We did this in 2009, 2010 and 2011 successfully. Then Canterbury College of Education offered the degree in ECE until 2018. In 2019 The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand asked if Educare Training would like to pick up the study groups again. We said yes, because Educare Training could see the benefit of having a provider in Taranaki to support you.

How has it gone?

We have our 1st degree group – Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) finishing this semester, 2021.
